Under the guidance of tutor, Undergraduate Innovative Experiment Project enables undergraduates or innovation teams tocarry out independent project selection and design, independent organizationi mplementation and information analysis processing and summary reports writing, etc, so that it is a project for cultivating students’ interest and ability to propose questions, to analyze and to solve problems. It focuses on funding for projects with new thoughts, clear goals, innovativeness and exploratory, feasible research plan and technical approach, and reliable implementation conditions. Eye Institute of Xiamen University attaches great importance to the training of undergraduates' innovative thinking, and takes several undergraduate innovative experiment teams every year to the institute for scientific research training, and the professors of the institute guide undergraduatesto carry out project work and to declare all levels of undergraduates' innovative project. Eye Institute of Xiamen University has won nine undergraduate innovative experiment plan funded projects in recent years, and obtained outstanding research achievements.
