糖尿病性视网膜病变

糖尿病性视网膜病变(简称糖网病)是糖尿病最常见的血管并发症之一。糖网病是西方国家致盲的首要原因,也是我国人口致盲的主要原因之一。糖网病的早期病理为毛细血管内皮细胞损伤、周细胞选择性丢失、血管基底膜增厚、微血管瘤的形成等。糖网病的晚期主要特征是视网膜新生血管的形成,渗出出血等。其中视网膜新生血管是糖网病患者致盲的最重要的病理变化。几乎所有1型糖尿病的患者在糖尿病的进程中会发生一定程度的糖网病,而50%-80%的2型糖尿病患者在病程20到25年左右会出现糖网病。随着糖尿病的增多,糖网病累及人口数会进一步的增加。目前糖网病的发病机制尚未完全明确且现有的治疗手段疗效欠佳。

本课题组运用多种糖尿病动物模型,分别研究Wnt/β-catenin信号通路、microRNAs、PPARα、VLDLR与糖尿病新生血管的关系,旨在理解糖网病的发病机理及找出有效的治疗手段。目前本课题组带头人已经在国内外知名杂志上Diabetes,MCB,IOVS等发表多篇SCI论文。
